Motor Interchange

Can you guys confirm that a 2002 Mazda 626 2.0 is interchangeable with a Protege 2.0. I need to buy a new motor and the 626 engines are considerably less from a junk yard than the Protege.

it will fit but you will have to swap the intake manifold, valve cover, thermostat cover, heater bypass pipes, the coolant junction block, oil cooler, and the MBSP over

if it's the 2000 or later....keep the intake mani or sell it

ahh...did not know.....but still easy to remove....just takes a lil' bit of time
