More negative camber

Has anyone tried or succeeded at getting more negative camber out of their 2008 MS3's. My car is at -1.0 off the lot and I am trying to get more without changing the stock strut plate ( I want to stay in D-Stock). Has anyone tried this.

If you haven't already, loosen the top mount bolts and shove the strut as far in as it will go. The holes in the body are larger than the bolts so there is some play.

+1

I believe you could get up to like 1.3-1.5 negative camber by doing this after you get an alignment.

Nationals

H3b,
I do not plan to drive at nationals.
I did do the Salina div and the couple that run the Cobalt with slicks said there is a MS3 in Lincolin that is running slicks with stock shocks. Is that you?
I do plan to go to Nationals to learn.
Currently I have set up 1/8" toe out but my alignment guy said there was no more negative adjustment. This being my first time messing with alignment did not press the issue.

I am currently running Re-11's 235/40 18 stock wheels.
H3B if you are running what tires do you use and what size?

Thanks to all.

I'm not on slicks but I was on stock suspension when I was there last. I'm also running in DSP so no slicks for me but I can use R-comps. Actually just ordered them today. On the stock wheels I am running 225/45 RE-01's. I just ordered some 225/45/17 Hoosier A6's for the 17x8 wheels I ordered.

As far as alignment I've got about 1/8th toe out in the front 1/16th in in the back. Rest of the car is like this for camber.

-1.25 -1.5

-2.5 -1.85

A bit off but I just put my suspension on and haven't had an alignment yet. Those are also at home measurements. The car has not been on the rack yet. I'm lowered though which is why I have more negative camber. I can even get more with the camber plates and links I installed.

Also, was the Cobalt red and yellow? Drivers last names are Larandau or something like that? Guys name is John. I've seen it up here and its pretty quick. Wonder how I'll compare with similar tires.

Yes red and yellow both he and his wife are fast he is running r comps

You should come run at nationals. It doesn't matter how good you do. Gota try it some time. And you'd be the third Speed3 in D-stock and I make four for the whole event so far.

Will have to think about nationals I have ran a divisional already. Will see if I can get off of work. So we would run thurs fri sat and sun?

I run tuesday and wednesday and D Stock runs thursday and friday. You'll also need to be there a day early to go through tech and registration. Also might wana walk the courses a few times before hand. That always helps. BTW can't you change shocks in stock classes? Would a new shock possibly allow more negative camber and a stiffer setup?
