The LS1 weighs less than a 13b twin turbo.

LS1 is actually 60 lbs heavier.pluto316 said:The LS1 weighs less than a 13b twin turbo.
BlkZoomZoom said:oh no doubt, the power to weight ratio would be insane. I'm just wondering if it would actually want to go or if it would want to sit and spin.
Iggy said:id gladly take 60lbs in return for 100hp and god knows how many lb ft stock
pluto316 said:I thought that both motors with transmission, intercooler and piping (for the 13b) the LS1 was lighter.
Eh, either way the LS1 is a better motor.

Hughes412 said:Your high reves are nothing. In order for you to get 450-500hp you'd have to do a hell of a lot of work to it. Like the guy said, the reason to do the V8 was for reliability. With just a small upgrade 450 is nothing and it's all done on stock parts. 100k miles out of that block is easy. But you'll never got that out of a 300-500 turbo motor.
