like I already said before, some people are really slowing this site doen with large signatures and include big pictures and lots of text. But there are also people that have animated signatures likw "shaolin" that are REALLY slowing things down!!! This is just ridiculous. I like this site, but it is frustrating me. Half the time th pages do not fully load or it freezes up. PLease DO something!!

I gotta agree it should be controlled. There is just too much animated bulls*** and huge jpeg images going on sometimes. I'd bet that probably has something to do with the problems some people (me included) are having lately with pages and threads not loading all the way. Oh and before someone jumps in I'll save the trouble:

It's part of the purpose to be enthusiastic about our car's, though. That's the whole point of a car forum.
However, the other point of a forum is to get info. If this is the first forum you've ever used, I can understand why you'd want to go 'all nuts' with a wacky signature.
However, I think any sig bigger than 2-4 lines of text detracts from the purpose of the forum. I'm here for information... A link to a cardomain or other site would be cool, though. I like seeing other people's cars and idea's... but, not at the expense of web space.
Something like 'Check out my ride: www.myride.com'... would be nice.
It's a bit much to see all this crap every time someone posts. I think seeing a photo of your stock car with the year isn't particulary entertaining... but, maybe someone else does.
Most people's posts are shorter than their signatures. It's as if people just want to post to post... and maybe show off their signature... but, that makes this forum even more difficult to use for information.
So, when I do a search I have to read through 100 different stupid attitude comments with large photos at the bottom. What a drag.....
So, while this forum is free, I have purchased things from its supporters/advertisers because of its existence. I've stopped surfing it as frequently because of the above issues.... It's not free to me because I have to spend too much time sifting through the playground to get real info.

Maybe make this a poll and set requirements for sig's. I agree that big photos/sigs/etc. are a problem but, these tactics won't get anything done about it.
