I have a sense of humor. But, I don't think it's funny when people hide behind humor after the fact. What's worse is some really clever person comes up with a great solution... STFU!!! oh boy what a great response... it really sums up this forum. I will illustrate....
Most of the threads follow this pattern:
1 Somebody has an idea/thought;
2 it gets debated, some like, some don't;
3 some half-wits come along and start trashing the idea
4 people like me come along and try to add some reason
5 turns into a fight
6 person claims to be misunderstood or 'just kidding'
7 another person decides to end the discussion by posting 'STFU'
8 I tune out so I don't know what happens after that...
......except this time.... because I like pointing out how stupid this thread is... and at the same time how representative it is of msprotege.com.
Just remember that there's tons of this kind of thread that people have to wade through to get any info.... So, when the 'STFU-people' post telling people to 'do a search' .... this kind of thread is what they'll find more than any real info.
People, especially me, have senses of humor... but it's tough to pick up when it wasn't humor to begin with. There's nothing more irritating than watching someone hide behind being misunderstood.
You can choose to make this forum an informative and fun place. People like me will leave it soon enough so you won't have to hear the lectures but, this forum has a lot of positives and good potential so, I am sad to see it decay because of young hot heads.

Ok since the last post made it clear humor isn't allowed I'll play it straight. Yes some of the sigs are too big and/or animated. That said I don't think the way to solve it is to start the thread woith the phrase "BAN THIS" , thats gonna draw flames from a mile away. If you think someones sig is inappropriate for whatever reason, try talking to them about it. Present your case through a PM to them and see what happens. In the end i think if we start dumbing the boards down too much it might as well be a newsgroup. You can't complain about sigs slowing things down and then say I like seeing cool sigs. It doesn't work both ways. Cool sigs are gonna slow stuff down PERIOD.

yet another whiney sig thread.... turn off sigs if you have a problem, if you don't equate girls and cars you've obviously never been to any sort of car show whatsoever
