MTX has dropped a few rungs on the quality ladder in the past few years. I would still pick them over brands like Kenwood, Pioneer, and Sony, but I would probably end up choosing Alpine, JL Audio, or Kicker instead. In fact, I'd be hard pressed to pick a brand other than Alpine or JL.
