Talk to you guys/ girls soon. (rockon)

Road Racer, I'll find out when some upcoming races are and then I'll let you know. I am by no means a veteran autocrosser, but I'll do my best to help you out.

As far as the Kart2Kart meet, the date on that is still open, so just keep an eye on that thread to learn all the details.

Also, here are pics!

I love having a road-dirt-gray car. You can't even tell that I haven't washed it in weeks. (thumb)

hey now, kfcuno and i were there on time...azian6er slept in

There's always got to be one slacker... (wiggle)

We're getting worse for people not showing. Only 50% attendance this time. (poke)

Oh well.

I mentioned this to the people on the drive but I figure I'll post it up, too: I think we should have Kart2kart next month instead of the drive. Maybe the Po-Po will lay some of the heat off by September.

And that way somebody else can organize it. :D

Yup...I'll take care of the Kart2Kart meet.

I hear ya... And besides, having someone else with you means you can get video footage from outside the car too!

I meant in the pictures, smartass!

Yeah, I think we should be able to get together for a test ride. I live in Dearborn Heights and work in Plymouth, so it shouldn't be too difficult. You can buy me lunch or something. (thumb)

Kane, did you run into anyone from our riding group? The weather was still crappy at my house by the time I normally leave. By 9:30am it was finally dry enough to leave. (dunno) So I just stayed home and watch the Tour De France and then did yardwork. (freak)

I was pretty bitter as I wanted to ride.

We did see one group of three bikes; a Duck, a Suzuki and a Kawi. They got to Pickett Fence after us, left before us and we saw them again at the BP in Stockbridge.

You were probably better off staying at home, actually. It would have been a VERY hairy ride on two wheels. A good portion of the route has been "repaved" in typical redneck/cheap-ass fashion: spray tar on the road and then dump a bunch of pea gravel on it.

Starting on Brogan Rd and going all the way to Williamston (I think), it was all loose gravel. I got a little sideways more than once. It would have been a real ass-clincher on a bike.

That sucks wang. They didn't "repave" Brogan did they?? Every year starting in mid-July to August they "repave" the roads out there. They are then crap for a month or more while the cars pack down the pea gravel. That is certainly not good news.
