I was wanting to get ahold of them, on there site, no email or number. I would appreciate it if someone had the number or the email, thanks!!!

I am trying to get a group buy together for this product. I am looking at $275.00US+s/h for the Carbon Fiber and $285.00US+s/h for the Black Chrome. These prices are good if I can get 10 people to go in on this. Actually 9 because I will be number 1 :)

that is if you want an intake they are cheaper at injen and from what i hear alot better made. I have the chrome MHP intake and while i am happy with it i had to pay through the nose to get it and deal with those unfriendly people.

You don't think $285.00US is a good deal for that Black Chrome CAI that you have?

I think it is an awsome deal!

I mean correct me if I'm wrong but the MHP CAI Already has an AEM bypass vavle(which is a MUST have for anyone who doesn't want to flood their engine with water) and they also have the K&N cone filter and they are the best LOOKING CAI out there right now for our cars!

The bypass vavle is a $45.00 option on the Injen, they don't have the K&N cone filter and although chrome looks nice, it just dosn't have the look that the MHP's have.

But as you said the prices on their Website... $329.00US(CF) and $379.00US(BC) are through the roof!

That is why I called them to see if I could get a group buy. They will DROP the price to $275.00US(CF) and $285.00US(BC) if we get 10 people.

I am like you, I don't want to pay through the nose for a CAI so that is why I am trying to get this Group Buy together. :)

I have 3 peeps that want in so far, so that leaves 7 more. I need fellow MP3 Owners and 3rd gen Protege owners to help me out to get the lowest price. Plz Help! :D

I don't know guys go to www.injen.com and go to rsx type-s it says 18.1hp with the Injen Technology,i'm not sure if it's the Race division,or the other one. if it's True then that's alot of Hp for Cai.

What is the Diameter of the MHP and the Injen? Also is the MHP still rubbing on the master cylinder, if so i dont want it. Just let me know, thanks

Sorry dude, but in my dealings with the company(MHP) they have been nothing but freindly and helpful. I found Injen to be a little unfriendly and not very excited or eager to give any information about their product. Maybe it's just the particular people we talked to.
I was the one who reported the rubbing on the master cylinder. I believe this happens because of the size of the pipe and the way the bend has to be to provide good airflow. MHP does include a rubber piece(it was supplied with my kit) that is meant to be secured with silicon adhesive in that spot so that no damage is done to either piece and to improve fitment in that area. I left it on there without adhesive and it slid around and exposed the area rubbed. This only happened when I was applying hard acceleration and conering because the whole thing moves with the engine. When it is just sitting at idle or off the pipe even with the rubber piece does not rub the master cylinder. The key thing was to secure it with the silicon and I've had no further problems.

The MHP pipe is 3"...I'm not sure about the Injen, but I think it's about 2.5" to 2.75"

Thx for the info guys. Much appreciated, I would like to know how the Black Chrome looks under the hood. Maybe you could post some pics mp301guy? I hear that Black Chrome looks sweet! But does MHP have the yellow accents for the BC? I will have to call them and ask. ;)
