medieval motor sports transmission mount=whine?

The noise is 100% normal i also have the TRZ combo but i get the same sound. It is just the sound of you diff and clutch being tranfered through a much more firm mount. You are fine, just turn up the radio or open tue windows !

The noise is expected. I had the TRZ and now the Medieval mount and both have that whine.

You should have that much noise, but Tru-boost is rigth about where the noise is coming from

So the question to the couple of guys who have this mount installed, does it make a noticeable difference in your takeoff? Does it turn the damn wheelhop into a smooth transition from spinning to biting?
In other words, does it help significantly? Forget noise and vibration, does it work?

Usually when you put stiffer mounts, you get rid of wheelhop. With no wheelhop, you'll gain more traction but depending on how much horsepower/torque you have, you'll just have wheelspin with no wheelhop. It also depends on how sticky your tires are and how you can manage the power.

I havent had wheelhop ever since i did just the lower mount. I also make enough power to just blaze the tires. Wheel hop occurs when you are right at that in between point of traction and spinning. My car doesnt have a powerband like that anymore. It either sticks, or goes up in smoke. For someone who does suffer from hop, yes a trans mount will help. So will beter tires. The most noticeable thing to me when i added the TRZ side mount was the amazing improvement in shift smoothness. It is amazing.

There are multiple designs out there. One appears to be essentially a reinforced version of the factory mount, while this one is a complete redesign. I've seen reports on the first claiming anything from miraculous improvement to minimal but probably worth it.
I'd like to know about this specific design. It looks like it should be pretty good, but many things look good and just don't work as expected. Often dramatic departures from the stock design will produce unexpected consequences. I'm trying to make sure that isn't the case here.
It looks like a solidly built piece with a lot of thought put into it for an amazing price. I just don't want all that thought on their part to end up causing me a headache later. Oh yeah, and the basic question of "does this one work?"

I have this mount also but have not installed it yet because I cann't get the bolt out of the metal seleve. I was told to heat it up but I have yet to try. I'll probably have to machine a bit out of it also. Hearing your problem I might opt to not install it.

are you talking about the factory engine mount bolt?

I have the TRZ Dogbone and i tightened the bolts as hard as i can, in this order....under carriage and THEN the tranny bolt. Some people are too paranoid, its just a mount.

That's how I did it, works great.

So with tranny mount, what IS the right order? I don't have a service manual handy...
