Can anyone tell me what's the purpose of this Media Button on our radio, which has the Bose system. Could not find anything about it in the manual.

It's in the manual somewhere, or maybe the "Quick Guide", that this has no use in the US market. I think I saw in a thread on here that it's for a DVD player. There's another button on the Bose system that's labeled the same way, but I can't remember which one.

Found out that the Media button is for external video/audio accessories, now this seems to be for a different radio since the one they display is a LCD radio which mine is the Bose system

In the "Non-US" version, the media button switches the input of the media center to the external connection available on that version of the car. I read on another forum that "the connection supports a number of devices including DVD players." However, in most US states it is illegal to have a functioning DVD player in sight of the driver for obvious safety reasons, so probably why that button doesn't function on the US models.

I wonder if there's a connection on the radio for this and if so, does it work? I'll have to investigate this
