The Import scene is pretty strong here in L.A. I think about 25% of the cars around here are fixed up (wheels or exhaust at least, not talking about stock cars with a million cheap "Type R" stickers on them...lol). I don't do the illegal street race thing. One of my brothers is a police sargeant, and it's in my best interest to stay out of trouble. He'd be really embarassed if his "little" sister got involved in those things, and believe me, he would definately find out.
We have track where you can go to run your car legally. It's about 20 bucks for five runs and you can go against any one that's there, usually imports vs. imports, domestics vs. domestics, trucks vs. trucks. Well, you get the picture. I used to run my Accord and my Integra at those things, but unfortunately, both those cars got stolen within a year of each other. Talk about bad luck, but that's what happens when you fix up your car and it gets a lot of attention. I haven't run the Pro5 just because it doesn't have anything on it to make it worthwhile. I'd rather not embarass myself!
