Because the stock 3 one doesn't have any space under it. It's like a backwards baseball cap. I figure if there's an air gap, theoretically it could re-direct the air flow across the window and keep it clear. It's all theory, though. I haven't seen a functional spoiler on any FWD car, so there's no reason to think they'll start now.zverg said:How is the MPS one different than the stock 3 spoiler other than the inclusion of the LED brake light strip like in the P5.
One last question: Is it better or worse going from the 3 spoiler to no spoiler?
definately a gapzverg said:I didn't think the MPS one looked like it had an air gap, I guess I didn't look closely enough.

look at that, you are right.zverg said:That's the MS3 not the 3 MPS
I'm talking about the euro-spec one that the first pics were of. I looked again and it definitely has no gap.

One thing I can say for the MPS one, it may actually help keep the back window clear.

(thinks about that for a second)
If it comes to the states in a timely fashion I'll give my P5 to my fiance and trade in her Corolla for MS3. Then I'll put the MS3 rims on the P5 and take my new RX-8 rims and put them on the MS3. That'll look nice.
