You really should run a remote line and mount the T somewhere else. A few members on here have had it snap off in the block, and that leads to a VERY costly repair. Look at it this way, would you like to chance it, or spend the $15 on a short braided line and know that it will be okay?

Looking good Miguel...I'm sure you're anxious to get her back on the road meaner than ever :)

Thanks Shane, Im not an expert you know but ive learn alot from my previous builds and my mechanic which is my best friend from the past 12 years happends to teach me and give me the oportunity under his supervision to build my engine using all of this shop resources, tools etc, they even have their own dyno, after we put the engine together tuning will come next and his also going to teach me how to tune the haltech to create and fix my own maps according to him i can use everything i want or need inside his shop fascilities including the dyno.

Im so excited to see how this new engine configuration an added parts are going to perform. i added quite few very important parts that im very sure that they are going to make a difference in this build since i didnt have them installed before, also using this time a more aggressive timing and fuel curves as well as running around 10 PSI more of what i was running on my previous setup they suppouse to make a difference, little by little im getting to the end of modifying to the max this car, i only need BBK, Par gears and Quaife LSD, besides that i can proudly say i have almost everything available to this car installed Performance wise i only need the 505zoom Intake Manifold that im waiting for after that i can say im done modding this car up besides the parts i mentioned above that ill need to close this project.

Do you have a link where i can get that braided ss line? I checked summitracing and its $30+. And ill need the more fittings. I was considering getting a oil sandwich plate but i already got the necessary fittings and i want to use them.

Some pictures i took today after doing some more work to the engine, not much but bottom end is all together along with AWR Oil Pan. More work along with pictures tomorrow, i cant damn wait to feel her back at the road but for some reason i have a feeling this is going to be a completely new car when i test drive her again..

We also did some modification to the Oil pan if thats what you call it to be able to remove it without the need to remove the damn Transmission.

Im looking to purchase a good knock detection system, ive heard of the J & S Safeguard or the TurboXS Knock Light with Bosch Knock Sensor.

J&S safeguard is the way to go... search for what I had to say about it

I have it in my car and you set it and forget it!

no protege I know of has blown up with it installed due to poor tuning

from their website there are a bunch of them, and i dont really know which one and what accessories or parts i need it.

get it from steve at NSN motorsports... he is the only one that sells the correct protege ones I believe

not all J&S's are the same... they look the same on the outside but they are programmed differently according to what car its for!

it works with the ignition system, and i'm certian it works with a microtech, no reason that it wouldn't work with a haltech that I can imagine... read the product description and read the threads in here... the info is available.
