Mazdaspeed Swaybar Kit - Here's more info

They would come with the regular bushings. Mine started clunking a few months after I put on the kit. I got the E-level bushings and it hasn't clunked so far. *Knock on wood*

Part #: BN7H-28-156E

You will need two.

I haven't heard any knocking yet but what are the E-level bushings? Was this something Mazda issued in response to complaints about the knocking? Do these bushings change the handling compared to stock bushings? (If they were harder/softer I would expect some change in handling, even if only slight).

thanks. i had heard about those before but it sounded like most people said the clunking came back after awhile. i'll see how it goes.

in any event, the Delsing "clunk fix" piece looked like it would help by limiting the motion of the rear bar more and preventing it from moving around.

That's what I'm thinking. "Preventative' fix above and beyond the Revision E bushings from Mazda......hmmm

I thought about getting this kit before thats cool it acutally comes with the rear cross member. But... Then i would also want new springs and struts do the directions tell you torque specs and all?

The directions are pretty lame, basically just a few pages copied out of the factory manual, but not even all of the right pages and a few you don't need. Seems strange. The torque figures are included. I have a copy of the factory manual so I just used the pages I needed. If you get this kit, I could probably fax or scan and email them to you and just tell you what torque for which bolt.

this my be redundant...
but the bars are worth the effort..esp. with springs and struts
(now i'm wishing i changed the motor mounts)
the car will turn-in and rotate like night and day
my wife was in the back and thought i pulled the e-brake

it was a more dramatic change
then the spring upgrade too

i dropped the whole subframe 'cause i had help

Yup it is like night and day. Where ever I pointed it on the track and it just went there!

Awesome.

Yea i just recently install the rb rear sway on my 03 DX, and all i had were MSP Horshoe brackets, MP3 Endlinks, MP3 Bushings and the RB Rear Sway bar and everything went on like it came off. So changing the rear subframe is not needed.

hell if i know man, i just know it fit on mine and my car hasnt had its rear member changed. i think maybe somebody concluded it was a lil stronger?

The included rear subframe has reinforced mounting points for the swaybar bushing mounts.

There have been a few cases where a RB rear swaybar on the stock non-Mazdaspeed Protege subframe actually tore itself off the subframe.

Believe me it's worth it.

yea ill look into getting one later if there starts to be a problem, but so far everything is fine

Anyone know how the P5 rear subframe crossmember compares to the MSP? Or is it the same as the regular protege? I'm installing my RB rear sway bar soon, so I'd like to check this out; I'll also have to compare the bushings I got to the E-level ones and see if the part #'s match.

Mazdamotorsports.com no longer sells to the public racers only wth? So where else can you get this around 300 if anywhere.

It's been like that for a while. Just autocross the car regularly, that allows you eligibility.
