2008 Mazda Speed3
Just letting everyone know that I'm going to make my 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 into a project within the next couple months. Major work under the hood. I'm not gonna go public about the details because if it does fail, i don't wanna let everyone down, and don't want them to try it and fail as well. If you absolutely want to know what I'm going to be doing, just shoot me a PM. It's gonna be intense and in a couple months when I start it, to the couple months when it's done, the car will be a monster. Bye Bye Z06's.

good luck getting all this new found power to the ground.

you should really reconsider and post pics of the build

ive seen srt-4s with 700+ whp any car that is that high wont do a 40 roll at least they'll do a 60 and he'd probably spin athrew third and a bit threw 4th but once it catches by by

yeah thats what knowing how to drive with a turbo, hoosier exact fit DOT approved racing slicks, and high way rolls are for. plus suspension upgrades. haha.

the purpose of this post...???

"release to the public"

are you kidding me, what a tool

You're 18, when I first got my car I wanted to do the same thing. Big turbo, built engine, big brakes, beefed up suspension. I suggest saving the cash for your classes and going out.

Sit down and see how much that is all going to cost you lol seriously its not worth it.

Big turbo - 1800$
TBE - 1000$
FMIC - 1000$
ECU - 400-500$
Pistons - 600$
Rods - 800$
Fuel Pump - 500$
Upgraded Clutch - 500-900$

That's performance mods alone not to mention other things like a meth kit, turbo inlet, intake, BOV/BPV, front sway bar, rear sway bar, coilovers, brace set, etc ... your going to want to slap some real nice tires/rims on there too, it just goes on and on. Its a drug! Damn it I got myself all hyped up lol

If your not doing all this by yourself labor is going to be a b**** then you have to think of cost of ownership and maintance.

I was 18 when I got my car too man and after I got into my buddy's twin turbo 350z I wanted to go all out man. ITS NOT WORTH IT!

not to mentions thousands of dollars in labor and tuning. but let me guess your high school shop class taught you how to do all of that...

i do not like the thought of an 18yr old driving a 400+whp fwd car on the street.

if you want my honest to go opinion get an intake, downpipe, some sort of tuning device and get the car properly tuned. get springs you most likely dont need coilovers. this would be pleny of bling and to show off for your friends and romp up on most of the cars in your area.

-and the only time in my life in which someone has ever said im not releasing the details of my car build and been one of my best friends who owns a very nice shop and we were building a twin turbo buyeye wrx. so i really dont know what you could be doing that would seem so extreme....

theres a local shop around where i live thats gonna be doing everything, already have the inlet, tuning programs, gauges, exhaust, front mount, and tires. not too worried about money situation considering where i go to college, co-op program, im getting paid every other 3 months so i have the money, and schools already paid off. iv talked to 3 shops around here and how ihave it planned out itll be a monster

Just out of curiosity what exhaust and which front mount?

corksport front mount, which includes inlet pipe and top mount ram air intake, and turbo xs downpipe race pip, with stock cat back .. all resonators/muffler cut out, and i already have the c-pe engine management, all 3 AEM gauges that i need. most of the little s*** is taken care of already
