Mazdaspeed Project!!

first off i've gotta say good luck dude -- i'm excited to see how this comes along.

for all the people making comments about his age -- just keep ur judgments to yourself, i too am 18 and i pay for everything myself...its not unheard of...

lets try and keep it positive

Well, I think this thread has already taken a positive turn. As for being 18 and paying for everything, been there and done that. More power if you can do that and still be responsible. Being 23 now and almost done with school, I realize that it made me a more responsible person because of it.

Hey, we could be SRT guys..(boom04)

I can think of two ways to pull that off:

1) Strap a rocket motor to the roof

or

2) Have an MS3 that's not imaginary

no sir there is one more way...

haahaha what a joke (fu)

yeah true, so since tunersteve as lightened up a bit, if everything goes as plans, how would you recommend keeping the wheels from spinning, ridiculous suspension work and hoosier a6 street slicks? lol

oh and sperry, like i said in the previous posts, when the project is underway im gonna be posting pics, im not planning on starting it for a couple months so i can save up money from my work term. so you can believe it when you see when i start a new thread of how its coming along, and what failed and what didnt.

thats going to take the most work, most likely u will have to try a few different types of tires, tire pressure...suspension will play a big part. i would look at what other setups other high hp fwd cars are running and see if you can make a general plan around that for a start.

Hey, I'm actually a nice guy once ya get to know me.

I'd suggest going with a wider tire, like an 18x8, and getting a sticky ass street tire. Not really sure what else to tell ya. Traction isn't much of an issue for me (2thumbs)

Wow dude.....just stop.

And about the Protege not being a good drag car. I think it could compete.........

End rant.....

And about the traction? What the widest tire anyone has put on the MS3 so far without major modification?

on my old gti that was only make like 320 i had 225 nitto drag rads on the car and the car still would get loose pretty bad, i didnt daily it, so i cant even imagine the pain that u r going to go through

yeah i kno i have that ocming, but daily driving i would be lettin full boost hit so im not worried about that, its when those civic tuners come up and see a wagon is when i need traction the most.. ill ask the guys at the shop or tire places i guess.. idk, im thinking the hoosiers cant be too bad, i mean.. its hoosier haha, its pretty much a slick with 2 small lines of tread
