For speed, I still have my 2004 GTO I got new. I have it cammed, with a full exhaust (long tube headers, and dual 3in mufflerless exhaust all the way back), and a higher stall torque converter. It runs 12.6 at 109mph in the quarter with 1.7 60ft times on nitto drags. I have had it around 5 years, and only have around 9000 miles on it - I plan to give it to my son who is now 17months old as his 18th birthday present.
I got a 2008 G35X to replace the MS6. I am leasing it for 2 years. We had a new 2005 G35X for two years and sold it last year, and really loved it. We replaced that 05 with a new Audi Q7 that my wife drives. I got another G for two reasons. One is that since I drive 18000 miles a year, Infiniti is one of the only luxury manufactures that make it economically feasible to lease when you put alot of miles on per year. I am paying $406 per month (tax included) for two years to drive a brand new G35X with premium package. I put down $2300 I think, so the total cost of the lease is right around $12000 total for two years. That is with adding in all the extra miles up front as it is cheaper than paying for the overage in miles at the end of the lease.
The other reason for the two year lease, is that the car I really want is not out yet. After the G35 lease is up, i am going to get a new CTS-V - which is not going to come out until this fall or so. Fastest sedan made - cant beat it. I am hopeing the initial dealer markups with be over when I go to buy it after it being out on the market for a little over a year. Should be an easy 12 second flat quarter from the factory or better with 556 hp and 551 ft lbs. Probably 4 sec or under 0-60mph too. The E63 runs 0-60 in 4.3 sec, and this car has 50 more HP and more important, like 80ftlbs more torque. It is going to be a beast.
