Mazda6 6 cd changer problems

i have had problems for some time now. sometimes the cd will play but now it seems the cd player will not accept or recognise any cds. anyone with any ideas as to how to repair or has had any experience like this would be welcome. Shame BOSE system sounds uperb as you might expect.
