The Type S should win stock & once you factor in mods, it will be plain embarassing. My friend started Team DC5 & most of them are running high to mid 13s. You could counter with HiBoost's turbo kit for the 3, but the RSXs have turbo kits too & they have been making 400hp+ for some time now.

Simple answer: NO

I agree. I can beat lightly modded RSX Type-S's but my cousin has the CybernationMotorsports turbo kit and holy hell that thing pulls. It put down 311 whp at 9 psi (T3/T4).

I can run with most of the all motor rsx-s's, but if the have a jrsc or turbo kit i'm finished. I'm running high 13's in the quarter so I doubt you'll be able to keep up with them.

You would need a fair amount of mods and a favorable driver skill differential to beat a stock type S in a drag race.

You would need FI or one helluva built motor to walk a type-S with bolt-ons + hondata ecu on the strip.

I should kept my stang for the drag race wars in this forum, (in a straight line an rsx is sad) but I didnt buy the 3 for a drag race, an rsx isnt a drag car either, they r fun track cars, dont race them in a straight line in public!

And here I thought I had finally bought my 1st grown up car after the stangs! No race comparos in a straight line, its like comparing a steak to how it looks when u crap it out, doesnt matter, its the taste originally (not after ) Around a race track our cars would be fun, more fun than my mustang thatd be alll over the road squeelin tires and body role, Appreciate the refined car that you have, I do every day. Every1 at works loves riding with me on my lunch breaks because of the PimP White MazdA 3(not rally white, its a special Toledo OHio gheto edition)

Sorry, but you're a big Fing noob if you think that the RSX-S isn't a straight line performance car. It's obvious that you've never visited ClubRSX or else you would know that they have guys in the 13s, 12s, & 11s. (chair)

If you still disagree, I can have one of the founding members of Team DC5 explain it to you in detail.

With that in consideration its pointless to talk about comparisons when you r heavily modding one car
IN any stock comparison, rsxs are junk for 1/4 miles etc, if you dont believe me, go to any american drag strip! (laugh)

Ive been in both worlds and spanked many rsxs and ricers in general, and im saying take these cars to a road course not a drag strip.
