I'm looking for a sun visor w/ extension to replace the pathetic stock ones.

True that man, our stock ones are pretty stumpy. My Subaru Sti had a middle one above the mirror that was kinda neeto.

i do like the visors with the extensions to cover at least the whole side window... or more of the windshield... even my old mans 2001 stratus has em...

Yeah they are pretty crappy but ill tell you what i did.


I went to auto zone and bought some red spray on brake calliper paint and painted mine. The got soggy at first and made me wanna throw them away and get new ones but i let them dry in the sun for a couple hours and the fabric shrunk back and looks awesome. I would post pics of mine but i cant figure out how. If you could tell me how that would be great.

It wouldnt help with the extensions but you could take them off and have them recovered with leather or suade or anything else, at least it would help the looks.

Here is a clear example on how Mazda is over priced. They are cheap, made cheap, and over priced their line of cars. $10 piece of plastic was more then they wanted to put out.

Mazda3 visor extension

It's one of those deals where you get what you pay for. I've had much more expensive vehicles in the past and they've all had the little "cushie" nicities such as visor extensions. This car actually has a lot considering its very low price tag. Hell, this car has things my previous cars (Denali, Acuras, etc.) did not have (e.g. TPMS). Acura is just now putting this on their TL ($34000 car). In any case, all I want is an extension for this visor. The sun here in Arizona is a killer and when I whip that visor around to my left and it only covers 50% of the window...........DOH!!!! I have 17% tint around the entire vehicle which helps a lot but the extension would be worth its weight in gold. Thanks for all your replies. If you guys/gals find or hear anything about the visor extension in the future please let me know.
