I have learned the hard way on a lot of issues. Including cars. and like i said before, i didnt drop my car when i worked here. I did the intake while I worked here but that was cuz I was bored and they haven't come out with an intake until May 1st. And even if I am selling it. that doesnt mean I can't have fun and mod it while I have it.

with that said, you CAN cut your springs CORRECTLY if you know what you're doing.. Unfortunately everyone jumps on the "cutting your springs is terrible" bandwagon since they know absolutely jack about advanced suspension tuning.. Not claiming I do but I've seen cases where it benefits the vehicle..

Completely different breed, but Fiero owners cut their springs all the time. Sure, there are springs out there for the cars, but to get the best handling you will have to cut the springs.. One guy cut his, added KYB shocks and poly bushings all over, and his car pulls 1.17G on the skidpad now.. Can't argue with that.. If you want to, you can argue with the fact that Carrol Shelby signed the dash of his car and basically told him that the car was awesome.

Obviously, just cutting them for the look isn't the correct way to do it but if it's just temporary, then oh well..

Congrats on being a pioneer. When the good stuff comes out, jump on that. :)

oooo i know how that feels. 6 violation in one stop, plus two previous tickets. When he gave me thos e 6 he had to give me two tickets. 6 months of hell!!!! anyways, i got it back and I havent gotten one since. that was when I was 16. you deffinately are aware more when you get it back. and we hsould party when you get it back cuz my birthday is the day after!!!

I'm sorry man, I'm normally not negative when it comes to people and what they do but for some reason I feel the need to express that you are a dangerous person and I think that your talents are misguided.

Sticking on an air filter and cutting the springs is like saying that a painted valve cover is a mod, or that removing the weatherstriping to allow better ventilation in the engine compartment is a Mod, or...Ummm Mazdaspeed shoulder pads is a Mod..

I'm glad that you are pleased with your new car and it's low ride...But really weak man.

he did fabricate an intake. the cutting of the springs has been around for quite some time. no one else on here has bothered to make an intake for the 3, have they? not being a smartass... just curious.

as ugly as fctory rimz are nowadays-those sure look good with the drop in effect.

and id be pretty damn pissed if someone who brought a ugly-ass set of heavy chrome rimz that make his car look like a 4x4 said s*** to me about anything i did to my car.

but thats not what this threads about now is it.

I am drawing on experience that I have seen first hand. A person I know where I live Jayson, cut the springs on his Neon for a one inch drop and the ******* thing lost control right in front of me, on a slight bend to the right at 80 Km/h. The body Roll was the cause and now he is in a Wheel Chair... So you can understand that I have a pertty Unique perspective on this entire thread. DO NOT DUPLICATE THIS MOD!!! IT IS DUMB!!

You made it out to seem like noone else was worried about dropping the 3. Believe me, when Tein or some other company makes kits for it, someone will be very rich. It's hard to believe that you are still sticking to your guns that cutting the springs is safe or something that should be done (crazy) . Although it is lowered...normally "Performance Mods" are supposed to improve performace. It seems like you were bored one day and decided to break your car. I'm worried that others will follow suit thats all. Congradulations and whatever man. Peace and stuff.

P.S. I havent even touched the entire diferent profiles thing, Holy s***. (boom01)

Too bad that wouldn't work in Toronto, our streets are so fricking chewed up from frost heaving/bad snowplows, I've already cracked the splash guard under my engine! If anyone could help me out, now THAT would be worth arguing over!(argh)
