If you can believe Consumer Reports, Mazda predicted reliability has slipped significantly. If you scroll down to the section discussing Mazda, they say it is due to the CX-70/CX-90, and that the reliable CX-5 wasn’t factored in due to the 2026 redesign.
 
Do those really make up enough of their sales volume to tip the scales?

I don’t know… across all manufacturers it seems the plug-in hybrid version of a given model tends to have worse reliability than the gas-only and/or hybrid versions.
And I guess they can’t predict the reliability of a redesigned model, so all the past favorable data of the reliable CX-5 was lost. And they do sell a lot of CX-5s.
 
Too new, growing pains and confidence.
Lexus lol.. My sis hates NX 250, upgraded to RX 350...still hate it. Lots of problems and drive like a old lady. She got the 2023/2022 before the designed. Every time she ride in my 2016, she had regrets. ❤️. Toyota / Lexus keep their design for up to 20 years. Only doing superficial updates.

This shows must how much Toyota sale compare to Mazda of same type. Like Rav4 vs (cx5+50). Not enough sample and people to issue Mazda. So they can fix things. I think Ford or Gm did a similar thing with their truck redesign.

Tldr I trust Mazda.( Even when they **** me over with engine...120k? It should be 150k or something. By time I got notice, my car was at 122k.....)
