oh look! your not the only one with that lip.(laugh)

the 1 coat looks ok but its hard to tell at the angle of the pic
Ok I can post pics soon. I did 0-11 coats.
1-light reflects better but still has weave texture.
2-less reflection and less texture than 1
3- even less reflection but less texture than 2.
4-6 harder to make out the weave but almost like glass on top of it with slight weave texture.
7-9 weave is slightly harder to make out but almost perfect glass texture.
10&11 almost perfect clear coat like on real CF but weave is not noticeable unless really looking for it.
That is the best i can describe it on here....
1 coat makes it shinnier but no smooth at all here this was in another post....
Not on my car. I not into the CF addiction yet. I was just subbin in and I had the reasources to experiment and see the out come of the probuct. To preserve it you would almost need 4 coats to make a difference.
i thought bout vinyl and the cf wrap but if i do the roof i wud want it to match the actuall cf since i have the hood, trunk n my door pillars are CF
the 3m is actually fairly realistic....

I highly doubt it will match a real CF weave... That's why I just got a sheet of Satin Black vinyl to do my roof...

(rofl)
Just get some to cover the hood, roof, and trunk. That way its protected, matches, still has the look and still gets the performance from the weight savings.
To protect it? Its eventually gonna chip, wear, yellow. Especially being in the SW.
Might as well just go with the clear protective vinyl. Wrap the pieces up, its protected, and you can still see the CF
