Just bought a 2002 P5 and was wondering the best place to get upgrades like air intake and exhaust for it?

Welcome to the forums! There is a metric butt-load of info on this site and you can find pretty much anything for your P5 using the "search" button on the top right. :)

sweet, welcome m8 :3
everybody's first mods were intake as I can recall
I thought long and hard about if I should go cold air intake (intake that runs behind your front bumper) or short ram intake (heatsoaker..)
so maybe you should go the same way I did and buy this : http://www.ebay.com/itm/360380937911?_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649&item=360380937911
Then run it right behind your front-left headlight, relocate your cooler overflow tank to where your stock airbox was, and use the overflow bracket to hold the custom intake in place.
then all you need is a cone filter (go AEM or k&n!)

Instead of spending 200$ for just a name, go this way! budget modding ftw!

That's beautiful man. My brother put in a short air intake like you said, with a $30 auto part store cone. I may have to fix that if it starts over heating come summer time.

Welcome bro! It shouldn't overheat. I live in northern Ohio and our summers are hot and muggy. I have a short ram with AEM dryflow filter. But intake, tuneup, exhaust and other maintenance are key. Have fun with her bro!

^this. As soon as you start rolling all the heat is pushed out of the bay. No real performance difference between short vs. cold air. So go short ram - it is cheaper ;)

What I am gona ask is why didn't you use the hole behind the coolant reservoir like most cai's I've seen or is it just the way aem is made?
