I can tell you right now that Mazda thinks a $150.00 gift certificate to use at a dealership fixes our problem here.

Edit: How do I check to see if I have an anti theft system?
Hey elderly,
sad that Mazda Head office wants to screw you with a $150 GC and then later a $500 gc. B/c you're right, you still can't get a speaker set, disc changer and theft system for any of those amounts. The $150 wouldn't even come close to covering labor.
As you've mentioned probably 10 times already, the dealer is useless because they are exactly that, a dealer. They won't absorb any cost for Mazda's mistakes. The dealer and mazda are seperate, dealers just buy mazda cars at dealer pricing and then sell them too ppl like us. (so ppl plz stop telling him to talk to the dealer) I wouldn't be surprised if a dealer tried to throw some money at you to get you to go away, but I'm surprised that Head Office is trying it.
As it seems, there are two ppl that have confirmed their false stickers already. I suspect they did this to several MS3 sports. And unlucky for them, cars in the US come from the factory with stickers because it's the law. So again, the dealer didnt' put that sticker there, the factory did. Here in Canada, we might have a lot harder time with the same situation because we don't have stickers.
In response to anti theft - it's hard to know unless you break a window (j/king). I don't know anything about looking under the hood but on my M3 sport GT, it has anti theft. On my dash, between the speedo and the tacho, there is a red light that flashes at intervals when my car is off. I suspect that's the anti theft system.
Another way to do it is go to a dealer (probably best to go to a different one than you went to before), dont' mention your sticker fiasco and just ask them if Anti theft is installed in your car. They may ask u if it's GT or sport and then answer you from there so you may have to make something up to get them to actually check it out.
