mazda eunos 100 1991 model water leaking??

hi all

i am new to this forum. hopefully some of you can help!! i just had an incident with my car, a mazda eunos 100 1991 model. i had been doing a bit of driving, and got home, turned my car off, and then heard a strange sound....kind of like a sound where water was draining out, like when a bath plug is pulled and the water is emptied out!!

Anyway, the noise went on for a while, then stopped, then i noticed A LOT of water on the floor (it is definitely water as i checked with my finger) which had obviously come from this noise....it came from where my water reservoir is located. The weirdest thing though, is that it is still full with water. my radiator seems to be working fine, as water still flows from my water reservoir to the radiator (i blew and air flows through fine), and my fan kicks in when i turn my car on...so i am really confused!! there is full water in my windscreen wiper water reservoir....so i have no idea where this water (or liquid) came from.

perhaps someone has had a similar occurence like this..and could help me out to understand why this happened.

thanks
regards

Do you have A/C on the car? If you do, your condensor box drain may be plugged. Check for a small rubber hose comming through the firewall on the engine side, and make sure its not plugged.

hi, thanks for that. i do have a/c, but for some weird reason it doesnt work, the light comes on to say that it is on (but only on power setting 1 and 2, for 3 and 4 it does not show), but it definitely doesnt work...

i have looked for a small rubber hose but there are loads....could you please mark an "x" or something on that picture of yours, to help show me where it would be...then i could see if its plugged or not.

thanks, i appreciate your help

Sorry, I do not own a eunos. So the location will be different. However, the hose will be on the passenger side of the vehicle & on the engine side of the firewall.
It will should come out of the fire wall, make a 90 degree turn straight down toward the road (maybe 3-4 inches) and be open to the atmosphere. This drains the condensation that builds up on the condensor.

I've seen things like bees climb up the tubes and die or mud fill the hose and block the tube.

It should be near the bottom of the firewall.

The AC drain tube is located on the passengers side lower firewall by the transmission.

Most likey its coolant.

Have you checked the coolant level in the radiator instead or the reservior?
