mazda 6's brother in nascar

don't know what to think here... happy, cause what is essentially a Mazda could whoop up on some rednecks. or sad, because it will be driven by a bunch of rednecks.... hmm...

Yup, essentially a Mazda...... except it has a carb'd v-8, ground up tube chassis, and not a single component anywhere on the car that could, in any way, be associated with Mazda...

And not all Nascar guys are rednecks. I hate it personally, I'd rather watch golf than a bunch of obnoxiously loud cars go in circles, but there are some exteremly skilled technicians and drivers in the orginization who are decidedly non-redneck.

My favorite thing is when they take the nascar guys to the road course and they all suck total ass. (Except for the old timers). Spinout city.

The funny thing is they are taking cars completely not designed to be ran on roadcoures, yet somehow mangange to do so very fast.

Nope - they have their oval cars, and then they have their special road course cars. They even will bring in road course specialists to drive, guys like Boris Saeed.

Its Boris Said btw. And I know they build cars what they can for these road courses. My point was meant to say as per the rules on how these cars a build they were never intended to race like these yet somehow these so called 'redneck' drivers can make theses cars faster than they should be on a road course.

Theres an interesting interview with Scott Pruett i believe about his. He's another road racing special Nascar teams will bring in.

They are heavy ass cars, big hp, smaller than needed brakes, etc... doesn't make for a good road racing car.

The ONLY things the Taurus that runs Nascar has in common with the Taurus you see on a boring oval ...
- The Blue Oval Badge
- The Taurus Name
- Four Wheels

I doubt they'll change ANYTHING but the labels. It's all for publicity.

mazda should grab a ford V8 and mustang RWD drivetrain. V6 already plows so how much worse off would it be if there was a V8 placed "correctly" in the engine bay?
