Mazda 626 Intake Manifold = ********** Intake Manifold

I am planning to get a sheet metal intake so I am not going to bother for now.

SU posted the dyno results anyway so they are going to be inline with those

since you did not answer in the other thread, why will it work only with a standalone?

and no I am not bashing you I am asking a question that others are going to ask

I did not see it in the other thread. My bad.

The volume of air and airflow for a sheet metal plenum will change dramatically over stock. I do not recommend using the stock PCM and stock a/f readings. EMS will correct the air to fuel ratios.

I dont understand that, the MAF is controlling the a/f on the stock ECU so how would this effect that? it will still sense properly until its maxed out. After that then I can see the problem. If someone is running crazy boost I can see it but for stock cars I dont see this being an issue, I think the stock turbo will become inefficent before the MAF :)

I am not expert by any means so maybe I am wrong lol

stock PCM would be "okay" with a sheet metal unit.. to a point... the stock ECU will still be able to hit the closed loop values fine, and probably even get pretty decent in the open loop values because as Tekkie pointed out the MAF will measure all the air going past the TB, so it will properly meter for what goes into the motor... where an aftermarket EMS will become more necessary is for idle (no Idle air control solenoid present usually) and for correcting for different atomization levels due to different tract velocities.

You can use the stock PCM but its not recommended. Thats the reaseon for 2 plenums, the current one for the stock PCM and the sheet metal for EMS's.

Any updates?
Dyno.... How-To...

No updates, no install pics, no dyno tests (although someone is promising them in his sig), no nothing regarding the 626 mani.

But there is a sheetmetal intake that is coming out, so I guess we should not worry about this whole intake thing...

nothing to see here, move along people...

and your point is what? cullen already did the dynos, he already admitted its the same thing so why waste the money ?

I was just responding to a post for information, Jesus Christ. If they are the same, and the issue is dead then close the thread. I did not see the post in which Cullen said they were identical, but with 26 pages, I guess I missed it.

So bottom line, they are the same, everyone agrees? If so, post that, and close the thread to avoid further confusion.

They do not need to post proof of any 626 mani install or dyno it, because you apparently admitted they were the same. Of course, i did not see that post. Can someone find that, as well as the pics and dyno of the 626 mani that we were told were gonna be posted? Otherwise, this is just an "ebay electric supercharger installed and it works great" thread.

I am doing what I can here about the situation, you can be gauranteed that. The mistake of going off of what my supplier said was my mistake. Thats a downfall of being trustworthy...

However they did not lie about anything, nor did I. I was just lacking info that no one had even dug into yet (626 manifold similarities). So the past 2 weeks I have done quite a bit research, 626 research. I am still gathering a few tidbits too, I will keep you guys posted.

And if this so happens to be a Mazda part, LOL, not really laughing, the manifold will be brought onto the market differently and the price will be adjusted if need be.

so this is not admitting that its the same thing?

I am done with you guys this is a complete waste of time its obviously the same and if you want to be in your little dream world then so be it.
