J dragon,

If you look what is happening to other car's using ford parts in 07...you'll understand more.

What is happening in 07?

or just post it when 20 questions are up...

I was told not to say specifics...but more power, dimension changes, facade changes, possible drivetrain changes. (When I say more power, I'm not talking a itty bitty bump either)

Look at what ford is doing to the rest of their lineup in 06-07, and you'll get an idea of whats going to happen to the 6.

Basicly just think what the "General" market is aimed twards and draw conclusions from that ;) Our cars are more ford than you may think. The more parts we pull from the car, the more we find "FoMoCo" or "FORD" stamps on things.

the general market is aimed at producing feces fatass american cars...so byebye mazda sporty zoom zoom? hurray.

220 ponies is enough for me, I think I would kill myself if I had more. And one of the biggest issues in my opinion is that there is a whole bunch of very powerful cars on the market with brakes that are not up to stopping the mass of the car at the speeds people drive those cars at.

EDIT: crossbow, what do you know that we dont know that you cant tell?

F U Dexter ..If that is true I'd be majorly depressed

Meh, I really want to know.

EDIT: crossbow, can you at least say which one is better looking? What we have now or what will be?

Haven't seen the 07's. I just know its dimensions have changed in every direction. Mazda wants to make the 6 the millenium replacement instead of the 626 replacement. So the car is growing in proportion which is either a good or a bad thing depending on how you look at it.

so does that mean the mazdaspeed 6 is only going to be a 1 year run?
How many years was the MSM produced?

Since the MPS6 hasn't even started its first production run yet...who knows. Mazda doesn't even know when its going into production anymore. Its been delayed 6 or 7 times now.

As MP3 said...Feb would probably be a good guess on when they'll finally be available...getting close to intersecting the mazdaspeed 3 release.

man North American Mazda6's are getting screwed. I just received a news release e-mail from Mazda, and the JDM Atenza will have available a SIX-SPEED MANUAL transmission for the 2.3L I4!!!

you think they're gonna bring that over?

oh, and in the same e-mail, it says that Mazda is now taking orders for Mazdaspeed Atenzas in Japan, with a sales launch set for late August 2005.

so that's what, September/October release in North America? Guess it's right on time then :)
