I have kinda had a thread about this before, But am I able to swap my bad red tailights for the clearer ones? Is it useless to put performance parts into it?

yes you can swap the tails EASILY... just a matter of getting them. i'd like to think that mazda can order them and the install would be cake.

it is NEVER a waste to put parts on the car...unless you drive a 94 plymouth breeze or something. it may take more parts time and money to get the car where you want it but hell man, enjoy the car, its your car, do what you want and at some point down the line you will fall in love.

nicely said... do what you want man, there are perf parts out there for the 2.0 there are some members who have the i model and are going to town on them...bc31 comes to mind...

u rang???...honestly i wouldnt spend the $$$ on the factory lights....what i will be doing w/ mine is blacking them out...very inexpensive and nice looking....but i think the sell for around $450 or so..in my opinon....not worth it...but its your 3 not mine so have @ it man...but if u need anything else in regards 2 the "i" model let me know

i have to agree with everyone that it's your car, do with it what you will. but i must agree with BC3I, the blackin' out your lights looks smooth and is a lot cheaper. i have a long list of things i want to do to my 3 just not the money with which to do it. so far all i have done is tinted my windows, bought new wheels, changed my shift knob and painted my calipers. as far as painting your calipers go, take the time to actually take them off the car to do it. it's much more of a pain in the ass to paint them with a brush while they are still on the car. also spend a little cash and buy a couple of stands and not just use you and your wifes jacks to raise the car like i did. stupid and time consuming on my part. so i guess right now my car is pure rice....and i hate that. oh well, as the money comes so will a part here and a part there. i may not be fast but i sure as hell drive it like i am.
