Mazda 3 vs. Lancer Ralliart

To purchase a Lancer ..... would be a joke. If your not getting an EVO then don't play yourself.

Your way better of the get the mazda 3 . You will have aftermarket backing from the Focus and that will help your alot.
As far as Body kit's though, I am not sure.

I wouldn't rally my dollars together and pay down on a car that doesn't have better interior, better outer styling and more than likely isn't even faster. Especially for a brand new car.

How does the cornering and handling feel vs the Mazda 3?

When I test drove the Mazda 3, it just sort of ate corners up.

The Lancer is still using the ages old Mirage chassis. The styling is awful, although a tad less so with the '04 facelift. While the "Ralliart" version had not been introduced at the time, all other compact-car comparison tests by any automotive magazine put the Lancer at the back of the pack. It does nothing extraordinarily well, nor extraordinarily bad. A remarkably "ordinary" car I think is how they put it. I'd get the 3 in a heartbeat

Khobin~: What are you doing negotiating monthly payments with the dealer?!?! That's where they pull out the Trojan and say bend over. Anyway, good luck!

Best Buy would be Mazda

Hi,

I have been driving lancers for so many years,My companys has more than 8 lancers and also i personaly own a Evo 4 as well as a evo 8.

But we got our mazda 3 Vspec last week, It is not the US version but it is a fully loaded version. But I should tell you, every min i sit in the car , I feel i am sitting inside a Audi A4 or a BMW 3 or i feel mazda 3 is better, Driving, Gear box Comfort and most importantly the Interior Finish is Exceptional.

I feel mazda is way to go. I am deeply in love with that car. You will never ever regret buying the Mazda 3.

regards
Dimantha

1) slightly nicer interior
2) both cars drive very similarly

I drove a mitsu VRX or ralliart as ur country calls it before my mz3...

There is no comparison with interior and drive...

mz3 s**** all over the lancer!!! (gun)

Glad you chose to purchase th mz3... You wont be disappointed!!! (yippy)

I actually liek the LAncer interior better. It's not as fancy, but it has more room. Where the Mazda 3 has a small trunk opening and has cramped rear seating, the Lancer has large leg room (front and back) and a nicely sized trunk opening.

Plus, I think you can probably swap out the Lancer's CD player for an aftermarket deck, where as with the 3, it's a bit more difficult.

But Mitsubishi has something here.
The Ralliart seems to be the car that is giving Mitsubishi SOME credibility in this very saturated Canadian sport sedan market.
From owners I've talked to, it's a good car. And reliable also.
