Maybe buying...

I only put 93 octane in my s40. I would continue that trend with the MS3.

Can anyone else comment on reliability? That's my main concern.

I had a 94 850 Turbo Wagon that ate parts like water. It was fast and probably had the best automatic transmission I've ever driven, but it too was a pain in the behind.

I bough my 2007 MS3 new and it now has close to 46K miles on it. Except for a recall or 2 and a serpentine belt tensioner it's been bullit proof.

Also, if you liked the S40 (assumng you had one of the newer ones) then you will like the MS3 as it a shared platform with the V50, S40 & C30.

Get the MS3, you won't regret it.

Picked her up today!

No pics yet because it was raining buckets and she's all dirty from the 2 hour drive back to the stable.

Pics tomorrow I promise!

I must say I wasn't expecting the stock exhaust to be this loud. Sounds kick a$$. So good in fact that I was nervous it was aftermarket so I made the dealer put it up on the lift so I could take a look. 100% stock all resonators and cats in place, muffler still has MAZDA stamped on it. Silent from inside the car at idle, but when you accelerate....(glare)really nice. (humpleg)

How about "WITEOUT" for plates?

VERY happy with my purchase!

congrats and now your are officially in the Mazda community. enjoy!

be sure to post some pics when you can.
so the one you got was the one that was white and had the SRI right??

how did the deal with the tire situation go??

Yeah, white with SRI.

They were pretty much at their bottom dollar on it. I got them to take off $100 (alignment cost) + $200 admin fee. For an OTD price of $18,271.

Not too bad for a mint 2009.

I only have 22k on the ODO of my 08.5 GT but it's been flawless every mile of it.

The DISI turbocharged 2.3L DISI Turbo (L3-VDT) was on the Ward's 10 Best Engines list for 3 consecutive years for 2006, 2007 and 2008, so I can't imagine you're going to have many issues.
