Someppl say they can reach 208km/h with a Protege GT stock....

How about MP3??

Well, if you work out the math with the gearing the car will top out at about 143 mph or so...That's 5th gear with the final drive and red line...

there is a place here that I would love to try it....and I know it would get there....we have a bridge here in houston...its VERY VERY tall...and if you go over it..and start at the top....there is a LOT of gravity to help you.....I had a vw bug with a stock 50 hp motor over 100 mph going down that hill one day...and it normally wouldn't get over 80....

:{D I would love to take on a top end run in my P5 down the ship channel bridge.....that would be fun.

Hehe if I were a cop, I'd setup a speed trap there everyday...sounds like the perfect place to nab people. If we had a bridge like that here, I'd almost guarantee they'd have weekly traps setup there!

I hear from Will that with the BEGI Kit, you will run out of gear before you run out of power...hence reaching top speed.

there is a street that crosses the highway there....so there IS a blind spot down at the bottom.....HOWEVER....that is never where you see the cops....its further down the road.....the highway/bridge is either 8 or 10 lanes wide....its frickin huge....if there was ONE clear lane....and the cop was on the other side....it would be hard to shoot you....but they would KNOW you were haulin the mail!!! lol

I've hit 140. It took me forever though. I did it on this really long stretch of a road in Missippi by Ole Miss College. There was even 2 of us in the car so yes our cars will hit 140 we have just enough HP to get us there. Like I said just takes forever. But I did hit it. Should have heard it it was whisteling so loud it was saawweeettt
