Max Acceleration

Is there an optimum gas pedal position for max acceleration beside WOT? Theres times when I can gradually squeeze the trigger, and the car feels like it has tons of power and the RPM wants to just keep climbing, but if I dump it with WOT, the engine seems like its struggling to get going. I know this is probably subjective as hell, but maybe somebody can explain it

I have the same crap going on with My SPEED, my wife's ES and my X-PR5. I'm glad someone else noticed.

its the same thing when i drive my car! 3/4 of the way down feels better than wot?????????? why is this? maybe the ecu program?

The ECU has preset fuel settings at WOT that make the car run really rich, like 12:1 or so. When you're not at WOT, I think it is still trying to stay at stoich, which is better for n/a cars.

yes it's true. at certain revs having the throttle not wide open, the air is quicker into the engine and you'll get very very slightly greater power...but that's only a quite low revs...not sure the number, would be way too complicated to work out.
