Well I sold my 92 Smurf with 265k miles to a cool guy in FL (the car was housed in FL).

I still have my 16 ND, which now resides in my FL home. I really enjoy the simplicity and coolness of the first gen, so I picked up a 91 Crystal White, with 120k miles last May. Didn’t do a whole lot to it last summer, really just cleaned it up and enjoyed taking Betty (after the actress Betty White) to shows and cars and coffee.

This yr when I got back from points south, I decided it was time to take the next step. The shocks were worn, I had the stock Dasiys and pretty crappy tires. So it was time for lowering springs, new wheels and sneakers. I ended up going with H&R springs, some Gold Konig Dial 15x8 rims and some Nitto rubber. Added some vinyl for some additional ponies.😉

Did an intake and have a Yonaka exhaust on the way. Added a mazdaspeed clock I had for my 04 MSM that never got installed too. Picking up the car today from my body/painter guy who fixed a small rust spot on the drivers side rear arch. That’s all for now!

I don't think that's a genuine mazdaspeed part... I've never seen any clocks in any mazdaspeed catalogs, but there certainly are plenty of fake mazdaspeed parts out there

Well I never said it was a “ genuine “ part….i should have said the clock I ordered with the Mazdaspeed logo, 😉.

Have you thought about getting the EDM/JDM bumper lights, or similar aftermarket ones? Those work different than the USDM ones and like what the FD RX-7 has. Separate white parking lights on the outer ends (that's why the stock bumper lights have unused ends/not having the turn signal lights fill up the entire length of the housings), and the turn signals are just turn signals and not a combination amber parking light :)

Love it, Mark! The first gen never seems to get old, what a great looking car. How's the aftermarket for this gen after all these years, is it as strong as ever?

No, didn’t realize those were available?

Thanks Antoine! Yes, still a very strong aftermarket for the NA!

Looking forward to seeing you and Betty tomorrow! Last year, you were still cleaning her up.

She's looking good and those lights @TheMAN mentioned would look great! Any plans for aftermarket ail lights?

JDM/EDM looks like this:

They're perfectly legal to use here, as DOT says you can use either white or amber as parking lights. The only reason the USDM ones are the way they are is because it's cheaper to use 1 bulb, 1 socket, and 2 less wires. That's all. White matches the headlights and does look cleaner, so that is likely the reason why you see many "premium" cars these days have white LED parking lights that goes with the LED headlights. Unless you're a big amber light fan, like some of the brodozers, big rig fanboys, and USDM fanboys (overseas) like, you don't have to stick to amber lol

Example of a stock lens: ユーノス・ロードスター NA NA6CE 前期 純正 フ... - Yahoo!オークション
It does have an amber lens inside, as amber bulbs were rare overseas 35 years ago. So, some people took them out to make it "clear": [マツダ ユーノスロードスター]フロントウィンカークリア化

But you might be better off with aftermarket:
Note that many are USDM style, without the holes for the "extra" bulbs... you can indeed modify yours by drilling out the blank spots and putting in "T10" style sockets and LED bulbs in there, and cut off the white parking light wire and splice it to there.

Is that clock wired in somewhere, or battery operated?

TheMAN, there's a name I haven't seen in a while. Think I bought something Protege related from you back in the day
