Marcs_sp20's project SP20

It felt like christmas for me today, firstly new front RDA Slotted Rotors & HPX Pads arrived at work:

And I got the shock of a lifetime when I parked the car in the driveway, my Mishimoto Aluminium Radiator was waiting for me! :D:D:D:D Decided to take it out and take a squiz and some photos ;)

Only a couple more things to purchase (oil, filters, rad fluid, belts & Driveshaft seals) and im good to go for next weekend :D

What a massive day! Big thanks go to Jared for all that you've done in the 11hrs today, and for also fixing up a multitude of fark ups a certain Mazda Dealership in Ipswich made a couple years ago!!

And lets not forget Noels "saved Marc driving 45mins" stunt, classic :p

I arrived just before 8 to see the whole exhaust behind the car! and before I knew it, the old motor was unplugged and on the crane!

Here are some of the photos from today:

Righteo, Motor install is complete! :D And holy fark doesnt it hook up!!

Next thing will be to get the exhaust modified (way too loud) and get the secondary o2 sensor hooked up (seeing its right at the end of the header)

Bring on the Dyno! :D

Not really much to update, I swapped around the intake as I was told it was round the wrong way - sits up against the radiator support now ;)

Also picked up some more parts:

Ford Escape front endlinks:

28" o2 Extension Cable - so that brings it out to 1.25m length:

Qford shifter bushes:

And the old firmness test:

I also purchased just last night a Whiteline 22 3way adjustable rear sway bay, so hopefully that arrives friday or saturday :D

nice . those links look alot skinnier than my ford escape links. weird.

looks great Marc

+1. Car looks, awesome, man!

Double check the year on those Escape endlinks though, mate. They might be the longer version and won't work. Like Rico said, they should be thicker than those. Unless that's how they roll down unda.

Just love how you have done your car, very well put together.
Those 2010 MS3 rims knock it out of the park!!!!!!

other than showing my busted tie rod.

this pic shows the thickness of my front end link

I must say - that's a drop-dead sexy P5.

Question though on the shifter bushings - where'd you get those? I'm noticing a LOT of slop in mine as of late - it's always been sloppy, but it's getting very much to the point in which I feel like I'm stirring a pot.....

Corksport sells them as well for a very reasonable price. I paid $50 for these custom Teflon ones I never used. I got the CS ones for $35 IIRC.

Now that dyno day is done & dusted for another year, I am very happy with this years result - 89.9kw/124.6HP at the wheels! :D Coinsidering im still using the stock FS-DE ECU & loom, there was only .5kw difference between mine & phils Astina, with his car using the FS-ZE ECU & loom and different intake design & exhaust..

So where do we go from here? Im over the moon at how the car has changed in the past couple months, it really is a blast to drive :D Jared on the other hand has this little idea to plug in an eManage and have a fiddle to see if we can get a couple more KW's out of it, but we'll see :)
