I really like the premacy options availiable to the Japan market. Hope it comes to the 5 in years to come.

Oh - I really like the cooler that fits between the 2nd row seats with the opening in the top that fits the flip out tray!

It's on the Moms & Kids page (since clearly all women care about it seat covers and stroller stow areas).

The rear doors close very easy as if they have silicon lubrication. You can close the door with a touch of your pinky. And it opens real wide allowing for simple access to seats. This is another advantage of the Mazda5.

Hey, did anyone notice that Consumer Reports gave the Mazda5 86/100 which is an excellent score and it ranked #1 in tall mid-size wagons (impreza, focus, matrix, etc.).

Using consumer reports evaluations for the sole reason to buy an automobile is like using a Playboy interview to determine who to vote for.

the manual doors open sort of uphill, but very smoothly. So a little push to open them, but as long as the ground is level they close very easily. My daughter just turned 6 and has been able to get herself into and out of our 5 since I got it last year no problem. The doors are excellent, very smooth and easy to open and close.

the only problem with the water is that it freezes and jams the lock so the doors wont open! We dont have that problem here as it rarely goes below freezing at all...

though these are the best sliding doors on a car that I've ever used, I'd still have paid for the auto option or the electric close assist if it had been available.

I think it's really stupid, and more expensive for them to maintain so many different options instead of a single option pack that they can sell to all of us! But I'm sure their lawyers tell them different.
