MAM FMIC Dyno results

When you compare peaks @ 5200 and under its right at 10whp.. Front mount and Intake. However nice gains thought the powerban ~16hp @ 4500.

On a side note. I saw a bigger gain than that just dynoing in 4th insted of 3rd on a mustang dyno. hehe

Umm....why has no one else except juan mentioned that the "stock" dyno is only about 2000 rpm's long? It only goes from 3100rpm to 5100rpm. The car obviously was going to make more power afterwards, like Juan said probably more than 145whp. These dyno results are useless.

True Brian, without seeing the entire rpm band, the dyno in only providing a snapshot comparo

I'm not so sure about that. Take a look at my sheets from almost a year ago when I was running the stock PCM:

Notice how it doesn't make hardly any more power after 5300ish RPM.

Yeah, you're right, but you can't be sure either way. For some reason Beau didn't take it above 5200 RPMs, where it very well could have made more power. Here's a dyno of a stock msp:

Here's an msp at stock boost with some mods and 10 psi with some mods: http://www.msprotege.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=37602

There are some other dynos where the cars don't make that much more power after 5200 rpms, though.

I think it just depends on the car. I just hope people aren't basing their expectations of the MAM FMIC off this dyno in this thread. It could be that it made 20whp, but unless it's a fair comparison we won't know.

Like I mentioned earlier though, it was much hotter out for the after runs than it was for the before, and since the dyno is outside, that had to play a part in this.

I think that a lot of people that are posting doubts in this thread just don't realize how good the Garrett core really is. It is pretty much the best you can get right now. Take the superior core, add in a cone filter that sits on a considerably shorter and less bendy pipe, add hardpipes and a BPV that will both definitely hold boost better... and 20whp seems like a no-brainer to me.

I personally think that if you did 5 runs on the stock IC, and then 5 runs with the MAM FMIC on the same day, you would see closer to 30+whp difference when comparing the 2 5th runs.

Just my .02

How are you getting such a flat a/f ratio after 4k rpm with the stock ECU?

Thanks.

Okay.. heres whats up.. Rich your dynos are on upped boost. ona T25. Show us a T28 dyno.. you gain power all the way to redline.. do you not? The t25 runs out of upmph up there.. thats how my dsm was at 13psi on a t25.. I'm sorry but 20 whp is out of sight for this kit.

My stock msp gained 15whp on a mustang dyno from 5200 - 6250 where i peaked...

(mswerd) Didn't think of that.

The first sheet that I posted on the last page had a stock boost run. It is called dyno run 002. That was at stock boost on the stock turbo, with no tuning.
