This has been posted on another board but I thought it would be a good idea to post it over here as well.
I had been blown the the (MAF #35 ENG BAR 1- 10A- Air Flow Sensor) fuse when going over rough road twice and once when I had wheel hop on a slick road.
This is very dangerous due to the face when this fuse blows the car goes limp and you loose all power.
I received an email from Juan at HiBoost containing some photos of an area which was causing the same problems for him that I was seeing. The below image is of the fuel solenoid connection.
The small wires that go into this connection were rubbing on the sharp edge of the brace where the bolt goes into it. (you can see this in the above image just to the left of the connection)
The insulation had rubbed off and was shorting on the mount under certain conditions.
I was able to recreate the short in the garage and implemented a fix.
I went ahead and repositioned the wires and taped them. I also went a step further and ground the sharp edge of the brace with my Dremel.
This seems to be a rather hazardous situation as the spark from this short was huge and i believe this line is carrying fuel.
