M3's in Parking Lots

I just have to share this with you guys!!

I am one of those ppl that drive all the way to the end at the parking lot (sometimes park across two p. spots, I know not a nice thing to do, but ok when the lot is half empty!!) and park her there, hoping to reduce the amount of scratches etc.

Anyways, as I was coming back from the grocery store tonight there was a M3 parked opposite mine, crossing two spots and wheeles turned. Looked real good!!! This seems to happen quite often, glad Mazda owners take so much pride in their cars and "stick together"!!!! Always puts a smile on my face when this happens!!!

Zoom zoom baby!

Taking up two parking spots (regardless if parking lot is full or empty) is ASKING for you car to be scratched/dented/vandalized. I park my 8 and my Miata far away from other cars, but never take up two spots. Its a slap in the face to other folks stating "my car is better than yours, so I'm going to take up two spots"...

Just my .02

Good point, I was thinking that just tonight, since I have done it a few times now.

I always do that in my Mustang. My wife jokes with me saying we need to take a tram to what ever store we take it to because I park so far away. I occasionally come out to find other mustangs parked near it. I see Jeep's doing the same thing, lol. You can always tell who's an enthusiast. Keying is just an @$$hole thing to do, and you should have that covered by your insurance anyway.

Asshole thing or not, taking up two parking spots IS asking for it....

come on now...here in Los Angeles if people do that they get scratch. PERIOD.

ummm you park a n/a mazda3 sideways in parking lots?.......not exactly a 911. that would make most laugh if anything I would think. (no im not prejudice I like the 3 but come on man lol)

someone should make a system like, if the car runs 14s, it gets 1 space with a semi crooked park job. if the msrp is over 40K you get sideways and if its 13 secs or less qm you get the full 2 spot sideways park. it will just confuse too many otherwise. jk

lol...should work like that!!

The M3 is my first brand new car, and I just love it. I just graduated, and believe me $27,000 isnt THAT cheap. There are ppl that buy BMW's and just dont give a sh**, but I do!!! I appreciate my M3 to the fullest, its a great car.

When I had the "Flying Dog", a Nissan pickup that was so old the tailgate read "Datsun", I used to find people parked like that and pull in right next to them. I was always far enough away to respect the car, but close enough to let them know they weren't that special.

If I got keyed, so what? If they did the driver's side, it would just scrape some of the tobacco spit off the door.

Seriously, I always park way away, but just take one spot.

That line of thinking more than justifies me then.

you paid $27K? Damn~ whats the MSRP? Is it an 07 M3? Seems high. When I was getting my speed the 3 was about the same price, just didnt have many discount on it in 04.

oh im talking cad. Car still looks nice though, I like the new 3 rims you have.

I need to find that picture I snapped a few years back. Went to the mall and saw some dude in a red lotus had parked his car in the middle of freaking nowhere of the parking lot perfectly perpendicular to lines. He was blocked in by the 2 people to each side so close that there was no way he was gunna leave until one of the car/truck people left.. I laughed and said, prolly people who work here and wont be leaving until after 10p. Go ahead call mall security/police and see what they say...

parking that way is really a good way to get people to damage your car. I park far away or find a decent spot that has no way of somebody hittin on one side, cuts my possible losses in half. And, yes, I know its just a Protege5 but I want it ding free 4ever! :)

Thanks, I love those rims.

Well, its was $26,430CDN or something on the road, including the undercoating/soundproofing. It is the GT model as well. I shopped around, and this dealer was cheaper than any other, plus he had it in the lot the way I wanted it; therefore there was no waiting time for me.

I really do not think that I got a bad price????

I do not park perpendicular though, I just park on a slide angle, there is no way you could block me in, unless you park infront and behind me.
Anyways, from now on I will just park far away and in one spot!!!

You should get that picture on here!!!

PS: Sorry about the 3 posts
