26.4k isn't that bad. I got mine for $22.5k CAD, mine's an 06 and I had all those good rebates. I also just graduated and got the $500 rebate as well.
I'm driving the 06 sport GT.

I checked out the 07 and I probably would have gotten for around 25k, but you got the protection pkg, so your price is about right. PS next time u buy a car, don't get the protection, the dealer rips you off badly. All the dealer does is contract the work out and so if you go to a local shop that offers the package, it's most likely the same shop the dealer would use. I got my protection package for $300.

I was looking into the o6' Models too, but they just didnt have what I wanted, at least not in 5-speed manual transmission, otherwise it woul dhave been an 06 model. Then again, the 07' model has some nice new features and styles.

The M3 is my first brand new car, and I just love it. I just graduated, and believe me $27,000 isnt THAT cheap. There are ppl that buy BMW's and just dont give a sh**, but I do!!! I appreciate my M3 to the fullest, its a great car.

I know (sorry - bad joke). I just hadn't seen a Mazda3 called an "M3" before (but I am usually on the Protege side of the board rather than the 3 side so that may just be me). Still, I bet the BMW guys wouldn't be happy, although I think the MS3 IS the FWD M3 of Japan.
