Very very possible. I have nothing but good things to say about the DSM afc since 2 very good friends of mine with speeds are running them. I'd say just over 200whp. You will be fine on stock block with those mods along with yours.

That's pretty much what I'm doing. Except I'm staying with stock SMIC pipes, and stock intake, oh, and I bought the Perrin exhaust.

You guys think I may get close to 200 w/ the stock intake, and smic pipes?

I'm wanting to keep it stock looking under the hood for our Friday night call outs.

I hope so because that is pretty much the same set up I am putting together and I am hoping for somewhere between 200-250. Only differences are I have an Injen CAI and a smic from CustomMSP.

that is some good new cause now that i know my goal is possible i cant start building a parts supply to install in the spring

hey does the perrin exhaust have a flex section or anything on it to keep it and the motor mounts from ripping/cracking?

oh and I plan to do the same as a lot of you with the SMIC hardpipe upgrades since I dont plan on boosting more than stock.

I'm hoping for 200whp w/ just TBE, FMIC, tuned AFC and a 626 intake manifold. You shouldn't have to increase boost over stock to see 200whp IMO.

Exactly what I want. A decently fast car that is reliable, and runnin at stock boost.

Oh, and my Perrin has a flex section, but I bought it used and it may have been added, because they added a Vibrant resonator, and a O2 bung.

hmm that makes me happy cause if i decided to turn the boost up i would have more whp then i wanted..but what does TBE stand for cause i cant think rite now

Turbo back exhaust

My buddy has a Black MSP (DeuceMalicai on the forums I think). I dynoed at 196whp on a dynojet(check link for mods). He runs a upgraded side mount, hardpipes, half injen CAI, vibrant exhaust and the ATP wastegate and he is on my but ALL the time. You should be able to do that easy with those 10 PSI "TUNED". You still risk it though cause you are on stock internals. I play it safe and stick to 5.8 PSI. :)

Your setup sound really sleeper :) Are you going to keep the stock axel back portion of your exhaust? That what I plant on doing, right now I have cs j/j and the power series exhaust with the oem axel back...

The only problems I can see you encounter is a slower throttle response with the oem intake and you might loose pressure with the oem soft pipes due to increased psi. I wouldnt be surprised if you even blew a hotpipe off :).

If your curious my car looks pretty stock under the hood I have a fmic and sri but everything is black :)

I changed clamps on the stock pipes so I doubt they'll blow off. Expansion and cracking is what I'm worried about.

If Iend up getting hardpipes they'll be black, as will an intake. The way I see it though, is that the guys at Callaway are not retards and their intake has to be good to a point. With my goals I think it will be fine.

I agree with you on everything, but its proven better throttle responce with a sri over ome and cai +3/4 hp you get from it

yeah your pipes will later expand or crack it will happen. it happen to me lol.. i just a fmic and its a lot better. yeah im trying too to get 200 or 300 hwp too, but i want it to be a daliy driver and do some street runs here and there and not worry about something happning later... i was thinking a unichip, performance intake manifold, 3' downpipe, and whatever else little things would help. any advise???

What is your current set up, You have a FMIC and a BOV right? 200whp is reliable and reasonable in this car, 300whp your going to need a forged motor and a stand alone to start of with. 230-250 is a good reliable goal for these cars, but yeah I know I have a big goal too.
