Looking to add some color to my engine bay......

I am looking to add some color to my engine bay. its just so hard to to that
with a yellow car. just looking for some opnions to help me make my mind up.
here is a pic of my engine bay. Its pretty similar to my current status.

Thinkin about having my Tbolt clamps and small things powdercoated. Maybe do
anodized purple???????? Any ideas.................

I'm thinking about doing the same thing - subbed. I think I'll pick an accent color (for my Black Mica I think I'll go laser blue) and just do that to everything - parts of engine bay, interior accent, calipers, etc. One idea I had was to paint that cross bar (engine sway bar/? what's it called?)

I would go with just yellow accents (or whatever color you go with) for the MSP engine cover. You don't wanna over-do anything, but give it a nice accent of another color. I've seen some yellows go with red also.

engine bay looks fine to me. if anything i would get a steedspeed. it would match nicely in there with those hardpipes.

Because the MAM pissed me off uninstalling it to get the EGR tube off, so I sold it because I didn't want the hassle of installing the MAM back on again. Don't know what the ******* deal is and why it's so funny.. I got a good deal on the Steedspeed so why the hell not?

I don't see anything funny about it. I would have rather taken off the entire mani and turbo (which I did), switched them out, instead of spending more time trying to get the EGR tube off and then having the hassle of reinstalling the MAM.

u should be ashamed of urself! u traded a peice of art for a machined block! non the less they are both good manifolds but damn, all because of a egr tube!

word to the wise! AlWAYS install exhaust parts with antisieze! u will thank urself later when removing them!

hmm... sounded dirty.

but, my point... changing manifolds because of something so small as an EGR is just a very strange reason to spend 500+ IMO. some penetrating oil, the proper tools, and 10 minutes would have been my choice. lol

I would rather have an exhaust mani that has easier access for the bolt holes than the MAM that I spent several days taking off because of having to search for the right tools. Ended up with a set of nice angled wrenches in the process. The MAM looks nice, but I would rather have one the size of the Steedspeed so it was something I was thinking of long before I had the EGR issue. I wasn't about to have an EGR hanging out in my engine bay just because I wanted to keep the MAM. I suppose it could be "art" to one, and a ******* hassle IMO. After all that time I wasted on trying to get the EGR off, it was worth it to me to just get rid of the MAM. And yes, all because of an EGR tube. Woo hoo.

other reason was strange too... but none of that matters, its yur car.

back on topic... idk what COLOR are you looking for? only things I'd do would be an oil cap, ADP if you can find one, and maybe ditch the MSP cover for a powdercoated valve cover if you have the need for actual color...

And as far as colors, maybe go on Google and do a little search, you can find a lot of good ideas for color combinations on there and get ideas for what can be accented with the color you choose.
