2004 Mazda 3
I got hit by a large sheet of ice in the winter and lost the cover over the mirror. the replacement from deal is $240...bah!

I've seen replacements but they are all unpainted.

Anyone have a Strato Blue mirror for a 2004 Mazda 3 hanging around? or just the plastic cover itself? the rest of the mirror assembly is intact

If not does anyone have a recommendation and price on what it is to get a replacement painted?

Thanks!

$240, really? You can get an entire housing with OEM heated glass and a cover for ~$100 from the dealer. Check with Jason at www.onlinemazdaparts.com, or e-mail him at mazdapart@gmail.com

btw, if you have power mirrors then your car is prewired up to the door's wiring harness plug to the mirror for heated mirrors. Since you're in Boston maybe this is something you'd like to look into. If you get the full replacement housing then all you do is take the old housing off (pop off the tweeter panel, unplug the harness, remove three bolts), and put the new housing on and you're done. Alternately you can just add the heated glass and run wiring through the mirror housing to the plug. The OEM plug lacks pins on the mirror side of the plug to mate with the car's side of the plug, but you can easily add a few pins. Doing it that way will run you about $50. Let me know if you're interested in doing this as I have a pretty comprehensive walkthrough on the retrofit.

Bought a painted Cosmic Blue mirror (via internet) cover for my MS3 for $40. Scraped the original on an ATM. I would throw out the name of the place, but I'm not sure they are on the approved I'm not going to delete your e-mail vendor list.

Way delayed response but thanks for the reply icspots. I sent Jason an email and I'll let you know how I make out.

No problems. Are you going with a heated housing or standard? If you're going with standard are you thinking of doing the heated retrofit on the standard housing?
