A spicy MSP gets flagged by towards the beginning of the vid.fkmp5 said:i'm an idiot. i can't even spot a msp in that video. the in-car video is of a car with a dash and radio that i do not recognize.
MP5Raycer said:see my take on this vid .. it was like watching the "special" olympics the pros moved aside to let the lets just say "unfortunate" have some fun .. kinda like how you are always super nice to the challenged people working at walmart or McDonalds .. lol .. nothing agains msp's or Mazda but cmon .. i think it could also have been that the msp driver was pissing them off when doing there test and slowing down to get him out of there way lol
ThrillRide said:sorry that is a bit overkill and smart assed on my part but really dude....the MSP will never be better suited for a tight track than a GT, ferrari, porche, viper, vette, etc...
take the same driver, put him in an MSP and then put him in a GT. it won't be close.
TXMazdaSpeeder said:i have to disagree with part of that, having driven both cars and having both cars sitting in my garage i would have to take the msp over the vette if for any reason because its lighter and more confident feeling through the corners.
jersey_emt said:And you'd be hard pressed to find any suspension upgrades for the MSP that would bring it to 1.0....the stock MSP suspension is amazing and very well tuned...it's already near the limits of the chassis.
Metal MP5 said:you my friend need a ride in an MSP with full suspension mods. Focus has all the GT-Spec suspension parts + adjustable coil overs and OMG that car feels like a go-kart. huge improvements over my stock suspension MSP
i know next to nothing to skidpad numbers and what they means and everything, so i'm not saying it would be close to 1.0 BUT even though i LOVE my suspension, it can still be improved by alot

ThrillRide said:both cars? i assume you mean the MSP and the vette....since i know you have a vette
you are intitled to your opinion. i have driven both. the MSP does not in any form or fasion come close to that of a vette. just doesn't even compare. i in no way feel more confident throwing an MSP into turns over that of a vette. it may be lighter but it is so far from confident compared to a vette. couple of simple things for you to look at for instance:
1. center of gravity - the msp sits higher not allowing it to be thrown around as well.
2. aero dynamics - low slung sleak design vs. an econo box 4 door. pretty simple camparo there.
3. wheels - fat with major grip > small with not the best grip.
4. skid pad tests...need i say more.
Anyway look at it like this....are you going to feel more "confident" barrelling into a 90 degree at over 100mph in a vette or in an MSP. c'mon man there is no comparison there either. vette and GT = far greater than the MSP in handling. your talking about 2 cars that have awesome factory suspensions which both do 1.0g skidpads (.98 for the vette) up against a tall sitting econo with an improved suspension from an aftermarket suspension designer that still only produces .89g
guys i loved my MSP and I know you do too, but seriously don't try to compare your 20k eco car to that of a car designed for performance. c'mon guys with statements like "i would have to take the msp over the vette if for any reason because its lighter and more confident feeling through the corners" is absured. if that were the case i am sure mazda would still be making the car and selling them by the tons if they were able to out "confidence" a vette in turns.
sorry i'm trying to be nice but dude (encourage
