440's should get you there. Are you thinking just the coated Doc B pump or the one with the external set-up? Another thing to think about is getting an AWR deep sump oil pan.

Haven't come across the site in your post but seems to be the same stuff as everyone else.
 
I was reading some build threads and seen a few people mention about the deep oil pan. Probably goingbto gobwith external pump. Still doing research. Don't want to just start throwing money into something Im not totally sure about. And this is going to be a long build . Prob at least 6 months!! What kind of clutch do u guys recommend? Act, spec? Im planning on a stage 2 and prob a fidenza (sp) flywheel?

If you plan on boosting don't buy a header. You'll ditch it when you get the turbo manifold anyway.

Was thinking about going with the gt28rs. As far as a manifold goes can i buy a stock msp or will i have to have it modded for the turbo (which ever i decide to go with) Im not to sure about this?
 
When i had my eclipse back in the day i ran ngk plugs and wires with a msd coil pack. In your car building opinions what's the best plugs,wires and coils to go with. Also planning on motor mounts (which i know absoutly nothing about) I've read that if u go to stiff they will.rattle gourd whole car. Any suggestions? I see corksport has a set of inserts for pretty cheap. Anyone use em? If so how do you like em..

Not too sure on the manifold sizes since I'm new to turbos.

The factory NGK wires, plugs and OEM coil packs work great for Protege's.

Motor mounts- this all depends if the vibes will drive you crazy or not. I had AWR front and rear MM on my FS and it would rattle my dash board. But I didn't mind. That's the only drawback about motor mounts are the vibes in the cabin and to that I personally didn't care. I'm just about to put some AWR motor mount inserts (pass, trans and rear) for sale if you're interested? They'll be cheap for a local. :)
 
manifolds are all about the flanges. A stock msp mani will work with the gt28rs because it has t2 flange. Other manifolds will work with that turbo as long as that's the flange size. As far as what size turbo to go with that I'm not sure about. http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/ this is a great site to learn about turbos. I'm sticking with the stock turbo gt2554r because it still works.
 
Picked up some moog endlinks today and gettin my motor mount inserts tomorrow. probably going to order my head studs off of ebay, having trouble finding mains.
 
Also plan on drilled and slotted rotors. Any 1 brand better than the next? saw a set front and back on ebay for 140 shipped
 
The mounts are by the side door of the garage waiting for you, buddy.

And personally, with something as important as the braking system, I prefer name brand quality parts over eBay parts. I just ran Brembo blanks for a couple years on my P5 and they worked well. I can't really offer any advice on other brands since I've only used Brembo blanks. But I do like StopTech's stuff, though it's a bit pricey.
 
Anyone have a fsde laying around I can build? I will gladly give u mine once the swap is complete!
 
Taking suggestions as to which color to paint my calipers when I get some new ones or just leave em what ever color they come?
 
They'll turn a lovely rusty brown if you don't paint them. I'd say silver to go with the rest of the colors on your car. I always say silver or black though. No crazy colors unless they're aftermarket. ;)
 
what's wrong with orange oem's?

with your wheels and blue on the car i would say black, but you could maybe get away with silver or gold depending on the flake and may even a dark purple but that might be harder to find.
 
Prob end up going black. Im going to change my plugs and wires this weekend maybe coil depending on price. For plugs I was going to go Ngk but not sure about wires. Also trying to do research on clutches for around 300whp . Any suggestions out there? what have u used in the past and haven't liked or loved?! Thanks for the help guys .
 
Some questions for u turbo guys. Is there really a difference between Bov's beside the loudness? Ways the best bang for ur buck? Also wondering about waste gates.. internal or external? I plan on running the 'potato" turbo so not sure what to order. And finally can anyone suggest a good muffler? I plan on running 2.5 or a 3" exhaust. Thanks in advance
 
I've only had one after market clutch, the Clutch Masters Stage1 but I liked it. It was very streetable. Phen has an ACT (not sure which stage) but it's pretty heavy and chatters a lot. I don't even think he likes it. Haha

As far as wastegates, I've always heard external is the way to go.
