Haha, I think you guys underestimate the weight of the front subframe. Heck, just wrestling controls arms into place is tough. Phen said he will give me a hand tomorrow, no worries.

Well my bushings from Mazda came in today and I got the MSP bar all greased up and bolted in. But I can't lift the subframe into place to bolt it back in by myself. Haha. But yay progress! As little as it is, it still feels good to move forward.

Man your car is clean... as in rust free. Pretty sweet.

Do you see the thing with two wheels on the left? That's a jack. There are two pins, one on each side, you need to line up before you can bolt it in. Try lining up those pins, and moving the jack into position while under the car by yourself hoping it doesn't fall off the jackstands and crush your face. Yeah, I'll think I'll just wait for Phen to give me a hand real quick thanks. lulz.

or.....

....instead of raising the subframe - lower the car to the subframe.......ha!

Work smarter - not harder.

***disclaimer - This post has a metric-sh1t-ton of joking involved. Anyone knows that lady hands could simply "use the force" and make the subframe move with his jedi mind trick.***

You may be on to something. Evan. leave your car be and raise the floor till it hits the sub frame, don't worry, your wheels will turn 90* like back to the future. problem solved

Ordered inner tie rods from Mazdaspeed and outer tie rods from RockAuto.com. Might as well swap them now since I'll need an alignment again anyway.

I think he just ordered them through the Mazdaspeed Motorsports program and got a discount, all protege's should share the same parts in that area i think

Yeah, sorry for the confusion. They are just stock inner tie rods through Mazda. But for future reference there is a left/right part number. Don't be fooled by RockAuto, some are label which side and some just say front.
