How does that hold up to tire changes? My wheel paint after sandblasting and prep failed miserably!

No prob. Great thing about plasti dip, you can spray any damaged areas and not worry where it gets it, He can rub it off

Then if he really likes the black, and I have all my electrics ran for my powder stuff I can powder them for him

Probably even worse than rattle can. I would spray them after the new tires are mounted on the Rays. The Enkei's still have lots of rubber left and I very, very rarely use them. In fact, I shouldn't even be running them until I learn how to Auto-x better then go to the R-comps.

But I wouldn't want to rattle can or powdercoat expensive or light weight wheels in case I do sell them someday. With the PlastiDip I can peel it right off. Seems like a win-win to me.

Chris, I'll totally hit you up and pay you for PCing parts.

so i finaly picked up a set of rx8 wheels i been wanting. will make my acc brake kit look good neways . should i keep them factory color or plasi dip them black for now?

This. 18's look nice and big. The darker they are, the smaller they'll look. Light and bright!

Personally, IMHO, I've always liked black wheels and they always look good on any car. It's just like a black suit jacket. They will always match. Some people say "it's played out", who cares. Hot rods and rat rods have had black wheels from the 50's and we're still doing it. I don't really consider black wheels a "fad" like the brighter color wheels now-a-days. BTW, my winter wheels were orange and I liked them but I wouldn't rock a wild color for a DD again. Too flashy for me. But I like black wheels and will probably have black wheels 10 years from now.

I really like that sedan bumper on the P5! I don't care for the 35 sidewalls though. My 18's just looked too big on my last P5 so I sold them.

You can rock black and red all day long. Hawt stuff. My engine bay is black and red. Ricers have killed black wheels with chrome lips. Black RX8's will rock hard

Well if your P5 will look a lot like the one above then you sir will be damn near top notch in my book (not that it matters). That thing looks gorgeous.

pretty much. only difference will be. rackless, side moldings removed and I have window visors. and eventually headlights will be retrofits and mines will end up being lower with time

all of that sound hott! I like his setup, reminds me of a VW or an Audi. I would rock the sedan bumper if I wasn't in love with the MSP front end (obviously). I was reviewing his car and noticed the side molding, would look much cleaner without. Interested to see it with black wheels, black retrofits, and no rack

no no, I know how to put them on etc like you did. but since its a diff bumper the grill i think its required from the sedan also. so i need to find a nice aftermarket sedan grill eventually . will find out for sure once i get bumper and try to put on p5 grill.
