Lewis7789 MS6 GT build thread

I searched for momo caps before and they were stupid expensive.
So I'll look around for some stickers now.. never seen any before though.

Well, when I bought the wheels from him they didn't come with them. I had a set from my silver RPF1's but the silver caps with gold wheels looked like poo so I sent them off to JT when he bought the wheels.

And TireRack.com and eBay still have them. But I refuse to pay $100 for stupid center caps...
I agree with you man. Sorry I thought you got them with the wheels

Fez, if you want me to make you a set just order up the parts and I'll do them up and bring C-tree over sometime and we'll slap them on.

I'll make an HD trip soon. Took a pic of all the parts needed.
Need to get an oil change done first.
Rotella t6 5-40 says diesel on it. Is it the one everyone is using?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what a lot of cats are using. I'm still using Penzoil Platinum 5w-30 but I've got to do an oil change this weekend too, might switch to Rotella.

We run T-6 in both Speeds, no issues at all, Walmart has the cheapest price on the Rotella

Yep! It is what I use in everything nowadays.

Reading for days:

Summary = Rotella T6 is the s***.

Yep, walmart always has the best prices on oil. lol

Yep! I get mine at Wally World or Sam's Club by the case. :)

Picked up another set of Enkei RPF1's. This is the third set I've owned. haha. They are 17x9 +45 w/ Toyo R888's sized 255/40-17. I think the offset is spot on and these tires are super beefy. Haven't really pushed them yet but I will tomorrow on the way to work.

Meaty.

I actually had to grind down my front calipers to fit the wheels. haha

The seller took them to a UPS store for packing and shipping and was charged $274.52 for this hack job packaging and to ship them 8 aways away from NY to OH. Fuuuuck that.

This is how I shipped my last set of RPF1's to JT in Canada and still cost less at ~$225. But, yet another perk of my job is I can pack up my own parts for free.

Yeah, shipping wheels/tires 2x2 seemed to be the best for me as well. I don't bother with boxes but I do make sure to cover the face of the wheels with a couple layers of cardboard and the saran wrap (not literally) everything together.

Oh yeah, welcome to the 17x9 RPF1 club. BTW your +45 offset is weak :p

...actually your +45 wheels look the same as my +22, LOL

Still jelly. That's what I would like w/ a 235/45/17 tire.

Auto-x'ed Fatty on Sunday at Lakeland. I placed 2nd in my class out of four cars, .205 seconds behind an STi. It's kinda fun being against STi's and Evo's every auto-x. And the new tires felt great. Much stickier and didn't feel like any sidewall flex. And the best part is, even with a passenger, still no rubbing. :)

Thanks to Sho for the quick pic:

Dat caliper clearance:

Looking forward to the track day on July 7th at Mid-Ohio. :)

A few things. Those wheels look too good, I'll need to confiscate them. Riding along in your car at the autox was a blast, you kicked some ass out there.

I am going to jack him for his RPF's........I guess I won't since we already have a set!

How's everyday driving on the 255's?
