$130 just to demount and remount tires??? Where the hell are YOU going for your tire work???

And even for an older car, I'm not sure if you could get new/reman'ed OEM wheels for < $400, unless you've priced them already?

you could always just try craigslist for some extra wheels that arent necessarily oem. that would for sure help get rid of teh old lady look. like some of the 17 inch 5 spoke mazda 3 wheels

Yeah, Kevin. Like Josh said, it's an auto, they all are in the US. I keep looking for the clutch when I start it. But the tranny is less than a year old so it should be good to go for quite a while. And when the motor goes in I'll swap the brake pads, radiator, hoses and probably HID's. Oh, and an aftermarket double din stereo. The stereo works and sounds pretty good but the CD player doesn't read the disk and just spits it out and turns off. And I need my iPod integration. And once it's running I'll keep an eye out for some OEM Mazda wheels to replace the ones on there now. The finish is pretty rough and quite the eyesore. But I spent all day cleaning it out. Scrubbing the interior of all the GD dog hair and dirt. Stupid Jack Russel terrier...

ps- my P5 steering wheel is for sale and so will be the brand new unopened Infinity powered sub I bought for the P5 earlier this week. Doh!

How much for the sub?

Which there is a set of in the garage that the owner definitely wants to sell.

Hell, I'll probably even sell the MSP's too.

i think mz3 wheels would juust look great on that. nothing outlandish, but just modest and clean

Precisely. I didn't know you had Mazda3 wheels in the garage, Phen. I would be interested but alas, I have to save for the motor so I haz no monies.

I bought the sub for $185 shipped, it should be here today or tomorrow. Wes is interested in it but if he doesn't want it I'll let ya know. I told him $160.

Yep. Levi's stock 3 wheels that were on my P5 last summer. They're just sitting there. Cory was going to buy them but backed out when he was here last.

Hmm... I'll have to hit up MonkeyAss and see how much he wants for them then.

that v6 swap came out badass. is it a big difference?

Thanks, man. Yes and no. It is a big difference since the FS-DE in N/A form isn't really a powerhouse of a motor. But it's not like my KL is putting down 250whp or anything. I'm getting it dyno'ed mid-September so we'll see then but I'm shooting for 150whp. A lot of other cats have the KLZE which has 30chp more than my JDM KLDE so theirs are quicker. I never said my P5 is fast. :)

Wes, I actually had a page bookmarked with all the ZR1 part numbers for the different oil filter brands and totally forgot to pick one up. They also fit the FS-DE IIRC.

And a quick pic of my new wheels I'm buying from my friend, Pablo. Gram Lights 18x7.5. The Paradas are shot so I'll buy some new ones in the spring. 18's do look a little big on Protege's but I love these wheels and I got a great deal. I'm becoming a wheel *****...

Other plans are to get the Milly motor ordered in a few weeks (waiting on money) then get the P5 dyno'ed at Mid-Ohio in September (I'm shooting for 150whp) then a track day at BeaveRun in PA in October. I can't wait to flog the s*** out of her on the track.

I don't see why it wouldn't fit the FS also unless it doesn't physically fit between the motor and firewall. I've got a Milly filter on my FS, so I know the threads and stuff are the same.

I think you'll do 150whp no problem. Are you getting the fuel regulator thing before dyno time?

I've already got it, it's shiney and has been sitting in the garage for a week. But after doing some research on PT it seems like it's not necessary and won't do much for an N/A engine. But I have more research to do... But after I reset the ECU two weeks back it's leaned out better. I'm getting 14 and 13.9 while driving around town and on the highway. Much better than 12's and 10's. Haha

ps- Thanks, Ryan. :)

I snapped a couple more pics of the Gram Lights. I really wasn't sure if I would like white wheels but I do. I think it's breaks up the silver/black theme. And still no rubbing. I'm shocked. They are 18x7.5 +43 offset with 225/40-18 Yokahama Paradas -1.5 camber in the front and -.8 in the rear with rolled rear fenders and BC coilovers.

And my P5 is rusty. Like really rusty. I was planning on asking Josh to repair the rust this fall before the winter but since I have the Milly I'm going to store the P5 this winter and get the rust fixed in the spring. And no more salty Ohio winters for my P5, yay.
